Bernadette Thomas is a proud Aboriginal woman whose ties and connections stem from Western Australia. She has over 20 years’ experience working within the community/social services sector and has a strong passion for advocating for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
She currently works as an Aboriginal Family-Led Decision Maker Co-convenor with the Northern Territory Indigenous Family Legal Support Services (NTIFFLS) and is based in the Katherine office.
Bernadette is committed to challenging the ‘status quo’ relating to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander family’s experiences within the Child Protection system and continues to advocate for our children and families to change the narrative.
