Thelma Schwartz is a passionate advocate for justice and the Chief Legal Officer at the Queensland Indigenous Family Violence Legal Service (QIFVLS). With extensive experience in family law, domestic violence, and child protection, Thelma is committed to empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through legal advocacy and culturally sensitive support. A proud Indigenous leader, she has worked tirelessly to address systemic barriers, promote healing, and ensure the voices of survivors are heard. Thelma’s expertise and dedication have made her a key figure in the fight against family violence, championing strategies that are both community-driven and grounded in cultural respect.
