Journey to
Dreaming Mountain, Jellurgal

Dreaming Mountain, also known as Jellurgal, is a culturally significant site to the local Aboriginal Peoples of the Yugambeh speaking language in Burleigh Head National Park. Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre, which resides on the edge of the national park, offers visitors a unique experience to journey to Jellurgal and learn about the region's Aboriginal histories and culture.

Join us for a day of culture, Country and connection facilitated by Kalwun Development Corporation and Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre. You will take a guided on-Country walk of “Dreaming Mountain”, Jellurgal, where  you will hear Dreaming stories associated with the creation of Jellurgal, discover facts about traditional life, bush tucker, fishing and hunting and learn about the important ecological practices and connection to the land of the Yugambeh speaking people.

This incredible cultural experience will be coupled with a rich learning opportunity where you will consolidate much of your learnings from the two-day conference in an intimate workshop setting. Build your capacity to work collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families experiencing domestic violence and gain strength from culture and Country to continue this important work back in your communities.
