Jordan Smyth is a dedicated legal professional privileged to work on Arrernte country, serving as the Policy, Education, and Community Engagement Coordinator & Legal Practitioner at the Central Australian Aboriginal Family Legal Unit (CAAFLU). Jordan collaborates closely with Client Service Officers to deliver culturally safe legal education to Aboriginal communities in Central Australia and the Barkly Region.
With a focus on addressing domestic, family and sexual violence, Jordan co-designs programs that empower both young Aboriginal girls and women through accessible legal education and support.
Jordan's commitment to ensuring programs resonate with community members, and are empowering, is at the heart of her approach, contributing to a more informed and confident community.
Through her role at CAAFLU, Jordan continues to advocate for systemic change that prioritises, listens to, and respects Aboriginal voices, while honouring the strength and resilience of the communities she is privileged to work alongside.
